The Right's Invisible Strawmen
It makes sense that the right-wing blogs would blindly go after a soldier reporting negative news from Iraq. Even after his identity was verified conservative bloggers continued in their quest to somehow prove him wrong, including posting personal information and varying degrees of threats on his person. This is not all that different than Bill O'Reilly going after Daily Kos, though that idea seems particularly odd considering the amount of money from sponsers Fox risks losing from the Left's campaign of retribution. This goes deeper than merely attacking the messenger.
